Our Staff

We are proud of our staff here at HMS Preschool. Not only do they possess a wealth of experience, but they are also incredibly committed to the children and their families.

Mrs. Smith

Preschool Director

Teaching is my lifestyle. I’ve been a teacher for 19 years now and I truly feel blessed to have the best job. I believe EVERY child can be successful as long as they have a teacher that believes in them! I enjoy teaching children about Jesus, teaching them the core subjects thru nature by taking them outdoors, doing hands on Science projects with them, and I love to make teaching come to life by doing PBL (Project Based Learning) projects too!

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling, and any outdoor sport such as snow shoeing, paddle boarding, and jet skiing. Every child that I’ve taught has a special place in my heart. I would love the opportunity to teach your child too!

Favorite Bible verse: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 - It reminds me when we love God everything will work out both good and bad if we place our trust in Him!

Miss Meagan

My students call me Miss Meagan. I teach preschool here at HMS Richards Preschool. I grew up in rural Arkansas. I have been working with young children for more then 10 years and I never get tired of it! I have two children of my own which keep me very busy as well. I have always loved working with the little ones and watching their eyes light up when they learn something new!

Favorite Bible verse: "I will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Me." Isaiah 26:3

Mrs. Heidy

I would describe myself as a quiet christian woman with three passions: reading, admiring the beauty of flowers and working with children.

Favorite color: green

Favorite Bible verse: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

Favorite quote: "We have nothing to fear for the future except as we forget how God has led us in our past".

Mrs. Aubrey

I am the Secretary and Treasurer here at HMS. I grew up here in Colorado and attended Campion Academy where I met my husband. After college we got married and moved to Portland, Oregon, where I worked as the secretary in the Youth Department of the Oregon Conference.

After being a stay at home mom until my kiddos were old enough to be in school, I started working here at HMS. I love interacting with the students as they come in the office to have papers copied, or when they come in to get a Band-aid, or just to say ‘Hi’.

Mr. Paul (Mr. B)

Taking students outside in God’s first book, creation, has been my passion for 37 plus years. I love kids, teaching, my family, mountains, and God. Teaching students a love for God’s Word is also top priority in my teaching philosophy. As an educator motivating students to love reading, writing, and math is vital for their success. Prayer is the essence of success in a teacher/principal’s planning and life. By praying I have found that I have more energy and wisdom in my decision-making process.

Favorite Bible verse: "Jesus went up on a mountain to pray." Mark 6:46

My favorite saying is: “Pray on”!
